Devious Journal Entry

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 5, 2008, 8:03 AM

I'm Back!

Even though I haven't been anywhere. I am still, in fact, back.

Have little to update on. S. Derbyshire's 'The Mentor' has now been released, meanwhile my second book has missed its Christmas deadline for release, and there appears to be no release date for the near future, at least.

=(

Right now, I'm looking at making new book cover designs. The present ones are...well, they're OK, but I think I'm leaning towards something with a little more undertone. Not quite sure. Anyhoo, will be sure to update when I get my head on straight.

Have a nice day now!

=)

Book Progression

Journal Entry: Tue Aug 7, 2007, 3:37 AM

I have completed what I consider to be the first solid draft of Vampyr Snyper: the Vampire's Son. I have now handed this over to editing for proof-reading, and I will expect that back in about a month or so. I am still aiming to release it by Christmas, if all goes well.

In the meantime, I have finished my work on S Derbyshire's 'The Mentor' (a derivative of the VS Series, based mainly on one of its characters), info available here: [link]

This is going to be released on the 12th August.

Keep your eye on the bookshop: [link]

I knew it'd happen, eventually.

Well, I'm back. I'm aware it's been a while since I've last updated, but hey, whatcha gonna do?

Anyhoo, I thought you might like to know how everything's being laid out. I now have chapters 1 - 3 of both Vampyr Snyper: the Genesis and Vampyr Snyper: the Vampire's Son, for you to read and enjoy.

CURRENTLY HIRING:

I am looking for a creature design artist. At the moment, I am unable to pay a penny (looking to raise funds before the end of September, possibly upto $100 but CHRIST don't take my word on that...) and I may still end up doing it myself.

I will update on this more once I have fought my inner demons and decided whether I can bear to rip the creature out of my arms and into those of a stranger...

CURRENTLY WORKING:

I am (supposed to be) working on book II (although it is currently classed as book IV) of the Vampyr Snyper series, "the Vampire's Son", which is the history of the vampire Fox and the ten years of his life before the setting of "the Genesis", which follows him through his time as a fledgling under the mentorship of Head Rogue vampire and into the domain of the Slayers, and the father of Nathaniel Rae.

I know I should be concentrating on doing this right now, but as my mind has been drifting for a good month or so now (more-or-less around the same time I bought myself that graphics tablet, actually)..........

I should get back to it.

So...here I am.

Journal Entry: Wed Aug 16, 2006, 11:48 AM
Not being the most artistically talented person on this site (or within a one mile radius of my house, I suspect), this will only ever be a meagre pastime and I don't want a whole bunch of "your art SUCKS". Please don't do that. I won't be best pleased. You can tell me my works "tickety-boo" (good, or at the very least decent) and I'll appreciate that a whole lot more ;)

Constructive critisism is fine! Tell me where I'm going wrong, if you can set me right.

What kind of stuff will I be doing? Well, I'm not all that sure yet. I have an interest in anything horror related, but - as I've mentioned - my drawing skills do lack the basic premises necessary for creating accurate pieces.

However, I am creative and a bit inventive, and I'm willing to give anything a try, even if it turns out looking like something someone's thrown up :)

I'm also a writer, (plug for Vampyr Snyper goes here) and I may - from time to time - also submit bits and pieces from that side of the die. Ooh. Die. I've had an idea...

Thanks for looking :D
